Skylanders: SuperChargers Racing is the racing counterpart of the main SuperChargers storyline while Skylanders: SuperChargers Smashing is its smashing counterpart. I'd guess they would, unlike a Skylander's portal, they don't expect a wireless use case where. Hopefully they power on just from a charger. Cheap and easy, likely (but not guaranteed) to work: Buy a USB MiFare reader.
